Richard is currently principal second violinist with the Austin Symphony Orchestra and a performer with the Austin Chamber Music Center.

Richard Kilmer holds an Artist Diploma from the Eastman School of Music. He studied at the Brussels Conservatoire and spent sixteen years in Europe playing with the Amati Quartet and the Mendelssohn Trio. Currently, he is principal second violinist with the Austin Symphony Orchestra and is an active teacher and performer with the Austin Chamber Music Center. He has appeared as a soloist and Concertmaster with the Laredo Philharmonic, as well as with orchestras in Mexico and El Salvador.
