A Taste of Provence

This annual event supports the Chamber Music in Public Schools (CHAMPS) program. This year, CHAMPS is providing weekly, professional chamber music coaching to over 50 middle and high school student musicians in three area districts. CHAMPS coaching is free to participating students and schools. It is funded by government contracts, foundation grants, individual donations, and net proceeds of this event.

Location

A private home in the Southwest Parkway area. Directions provided upon reservation or ticket purchase.

Activities

• Wine Tasting: Austin Wine Merchant will conduct a tasting of a select group of international wines.  Wine and nonalcoholic beverages will also be poured by the glass for attendees' enjoyment.
• Silent Auction: An array of wines, wine accessories, original artworks, sports memorabilia, gift certificates for restaurants, entertainment, personal services, and more will be offered at silent auction.
• Entertainment: The Javier Chaparro Jazz Trio will play their special mix of jazz genres.  Talented student ensembles of CHAMPS, the beneficiary of the event, will also perform. You’ll be amazed and delighted at the performances of our “classical kids.”
• Buffet: A sumptuous buffet catered personally by the confirmed “foodies” of the Salon Concerts board of directors, the food is always a fundraiser highlight in itself.
