Get Involved

As a not-for-profit community organization, Salon Concerts Inc. depends on the generosity of fans and donors. A simple way to support us is to attend one of our concerts, subscribe for the season, and invite friends. If you'd like to do more, we offer several opportunities for involvement.

Board of Directors

Salon Concerts Inc. is governed by a community-based, volunteer board of directors. The board meets quarterly and committees meet as needed. Board term is one year and there is no limit on number of terms. Please contact us if you would like to make a commitment of time and energy to support the present and future of chamber music.

Concert Host

Chamber concerts are presented in private homes. Salon Concerts is always on the lookout for wonderful homes and owners who are willing to host performances. Homes of any style or vintage are considered. Requirements include:

  • A performance space large enough to seat at least 60 audience members and up to 5 musicians (usually but not always the living room)
  • A food service space large enough to serve post-concert buffet (usually but not always the dining room)
  • A kitchen sufficiently separated from the performance space to allow food service set-up during concerts

A good grand piano is a plus, but not absolutely required.

Hosts have no obligations other than making their home available; Salon Concerts provides all equipment, supplies, and personnel. No compensation is offered, but hosts may invite a small number of guests to performances in their home and receive complimentary admission to other Salon Concerts. If you are interested in becoming a concert host, please contact Melissa Eddy, salonconcerts@aol.com

Make a Donation

In addition to foundation and government grants, Salon Concerts and CHAMPS are supported by many businesses and individual donors. Over 80% of all revenue is devoted directly to musical and educational programs.
