Dr. Gonzalo Kochi Kikuchi
Dr. Gonzalo Kochi Kikuchi is a double bassist with over a decade of distinguished performance and teaching experience. As a soloist, he was recently featured as a guest artist at the Third International Piano Festival “Franz Liszt Edition” in Peru. His artistry has been recognized with numerous accolades, including second prize at the Raymi Bass Competition and the prestigious Hilary Hahn Award.
As an orchestral musician, Dr. Kochi has performed with renowned ensembles such as the Southwest Symphony Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra of Peru, the Spanish River Symphony Orchestra, and the Romanza Symphony Orchestra, among others.
In addition to his performance career, Dr. Kochi is an accomplished pedagogue. He currently serves as Adjunct Faculty of Lower Strings at Texas A&M International University and as Double Bass Faculty at Luzerne Music Center in Lake Luzerne, New York.
